Weather
Today's weather was the ugliest I've struck so far in South Canterbury. It was foggy when I got up but I assumed that it would lift as the day went on - as it always did in Murchison. I figured with the sea only a few kilometres away there would be a breeze at some point to move it on.
Nope!
Grey and ugly all day. Though I headed into Timaru after school for a meeting and it was even greyer and uglier there. My meeting was actually out the south side of Timaru, and I had 5 minutes to spare before I was due there, so I took a side road just to see what i could see. What I saw was the cemetery looking all spooky in the fog and low light. This image is in full, untouched, colour.
After my meeting I headed up to Twizel as I have to two day conference here starting in the morning. The fog lifted just before Fairlie but by then the sun was setting anyway so there weren't many opportunities for photos. If only I'd got away from town 20 minutes earlier I would have caught the sunset behind Mt Cook.
