Then there were three!

Last year there were 5 college friends who have met for lunch every 2 months for many years. Now we are just 3.  Some of you will remember that our dear friend Asa died suddenly a few weeks ago.  Our other friend Edith has early dementia and didn't recognise us at Asa's funeral.  She lives in France during the summer.

So today just 2 of our original group arrived for lunch at my house.  We felt very sad as we raised a glass to our dear friends who we miss in different ways....Asa left us so quickly, and Edith is leaving us slowly.  But we have to carry on the tradition...books were swopped, holidays adventures recounted and future plans discussed.  Life goes on.

My extras are from our Botswana holiday taken near or on the Chobe River.  It was so wonderful to be close to animals in the wild and see how they live in their herds or alone.  I still have some days to fill in from our time in the Okavango Delta.
