Stag in the mist.
Again, it was a lovely misty start to the day. I decided to cycle over to the far side of the park to check on Max's stag - for those of you who do not know, Max is down under in Australia.
If you look carefully at the tine behind this fellow's left ear it is beginning to shed it's velvet - this is a precursor to the rut which begins at the end of September through October.. There were early signs of the impending rut as a pair of stags were locking antlers - see my extra photo.
