Put your hands in the air

Today's the day ........................ to train

Lots of things happening on the Green this evening - including this bunch.  Not at all sure what they were doing but it seemed to involve quite a bit of standing in a circle listening to the main man in the blue t-shirt.  Then they would go off in lines holding the cane thing above their heads.

Perhaps they were majorettes - but they never seemed to twiddle the cane thing and chuck it up in the air.  And do you get male majorettes because some of them were definitely male?  And they seemed to be a bit too old for all that sort of stuff.

Basically - I have no idea what they were up to.  Perhaps you can come up with an explanation ........................?
