By the Roadside

After work this evening on the way home I popped in to the farm to collect eggs and the low sun was lighting up the grasses and weeds by the verge and highlighting the  lovely contours on the fields.

I took the extra this morning as I thought this man was very interesting - I had seen him briefly in the paper shop earlier getting a coffee and then saw him in the sunshine enjoying a cigarette on the bench in front of our church. He spoke with a German accent and I could just imagine him driving off on a Harley. He was happy to have his photo taken and even offered to put down his cigarette.
