Juvenile Woodpecker
Every morning I open the curtains very gently in case one of the woodpeckers is on the nut feeder. They are so easily disturbed!
I took this shot from about 10' through the glass but, what I really want to do is get the shot through the open window and from a closer position. So, while the morning sun is still on the peanuts, I prop the window open and wait... and wait!
This juvenile will visit the bird feeding station several times a day, but never when the window is open.
