Another Day On The Beach

A trip to Staithes in North Yorkshire, not to see the home of Captain Cook (an added bonus) but to see where Old Jack's Boat is filmed, for the uninitiated it is a programme on CBeebies where an old mariner (Bernard Cribbins) tells tales that involve his dog, and his friends. Emma was quite sure we saw Old Jack's Boat in the harbour.

We then headed on to get some fish and chips by the sea. Who knew Whitby would be so popular? We got there at lunchtime and parking was impossible, and every fish and chip shop was queued properly out the door and down the road. Not being able to park prompted us to head on and we ended up at Robin Hood's Bay for the fish based lunch, with some time available we headed down to the beach at Cayton Bay.

Oliver was again diving in and out of the sea and had a great time. Emma was tired and less impressed.
