Walnuts part 2

So, I have brined the walnuts for 2 weeks, they looked disgusting.
The next instruction was to lay them out in the sun to go black, hollow laughter as I remembered our normal August weather, but lo! A mini heatwave! And they have blackened!
The next step is to bottle them in their pickling spices and then wait for Christmas!
