Big portrait of Australian Country Whipmaker

This is a portrait I did in 1992 of   James David Hill, or "Jimmy the Whip" as he was known.  Jim plaited whips for the films 'Indiana Jones' and 'The Man from Snowy River' and was well known to the country folk of NSW and Queensland.  The extras show Jimmy posing for the portrait and a close up of the use of the mirror to sneak a profile in.  The kerosene lamp is from my own childhood and also the old clock, which I still have. Sadly Jim passed away a year or so ago. I thought this record should go in the journal.
