An evening walk

Today has been another glorious one with virtually cloudless blue skies.  This evening Zeus09smum, Zeus and I took advantage of this continuing Summer weather and took a walk around Connaught Water, one of our favourite places.
This year the Purple Loosestrife ( which I've often blipped before) is not quite as wonderful as in previous years as it seems to suffer a little from the recent lack of rain.  It did look very pretty here though as the nearly setting sun shone across the lake and through its leaves and flowers.

The weather forecast says that tomorrow we can expect the rain back, which will be good for the garden at least!
