Before anyone asks, I didn't put a ball in amongst this lot during this morning's round! I just spotted the crop in the field next to the 15th tee and took time out to blip this while we were waiting for the VERY slow group in front of us (as we had been all round) as they once again spent ages looking for a lost ball and studiously pretended not to notice we were there or call us through.

I hate the stuffiness and pettiness that sometimes comes with golf club membership but I think it's only polite to let other people go ahead of you if you're constantly holding them up.

The afternoon was spent in baking and other preparations for a visit from an old friend, her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter this weekend. We're also looking after Sophie while Kate & Joel are at a friend's birthday bash in Leicester so it'll be fun to have two little girls in the house.
