A real privilege today to attend as a guest of the OU the wonderful Book Festival event with FM Nicola Sturgeon interviewing our national Makar Jackie Kay.

What a fabulous session - two impressive, inspirational women sharing their passion for words, language and books. Jackie Kay is a force of nature - and her warm, intimate ease with expressive words a joy to behold. I just want to mainline every sentence she has ever written in one go!
