Mink Lake

We left what we we thought was Spy Lake, only to find a pristine beautiful lake down the trail a bit and we realized our mistake. Our headlamps couldn't penetrate the darkness far enough and we had hiked a little past the real Spy Lake! We continued on and passed a few more lakes that would have made excellent campsites, but the real destination was the large Mink Lake. It was beautiful and the water was warm so we stripped down and enjoyed a swim. Our boots lay drying in the sun and we had a lazy day, recovering from our previous day's 12 miles.
