Ratcliffe On Soar

Went to Derby today to visit Family, had a lovely Sunday dinner at the In Laws, then went to see my Mum & Dad.
He's still not feeling great so I helped in the garden, cut the lawn. Took a load of tomatoes and runner beans out of the garden for helping!! Also eat some peas straight off the plant, lovely and sweet.
Was going to blip a photo of the lawn after I had cut some lovely stripes into it, but on the way home drove passsed Ratcliffe power station to get onto the M1 and saw a great b/w picture in front of me.
There is a tenuous link with my Dad. Before he retired, he worked in the building trade as a carpenter and many years ago he worked on the cooling towers at Ratcliffe. We always used to say to the children whenever we drove passed that they are Grandad's towers.
