Off Piste.

We're in Lake Tahoe for few days for a work related trip. Staying at a Ritz Carlton at the foot of s ski hill, with chairlifts all around. It's beautiful, in the way of such places. The high peaks of the Sierras, the beautiful blue lake, the pine forests. There are even still patches of snow.
I didn't choose this spot but we're happy to put a tick next to it, on our list. The lake is gorgeous but the water is a tad cool for our taste; cycling, on road and off is big here, but it's a bit hilly; the skiing is supposed to be fantastic here, but one needs to go out in the cold for that. In other words: been here, seen it, liked it, and won't be back.
We'll have fun eating and drinking on someone else's dime in the cool climes, and I'll try not to work too hard in the business portions.
