Let the celebrating begin!

It's been a great day today.  Spending time at home preparing for guests to arrive and cooking my little heart out.  There's nothing I like doing better than sitting around the table sharing a meal with friends, and a good wine doesn't go down to badly as well.  Our friends James and Daune arrived just in time, time for "Bubbles" that is and they went down a treat in front of a roaring fire.

We have a lovely weekend ahead of us and by the time the actual "Birth Day" comes around on Monday we will have had plenty of time to raise a glass and tell each other how blessed we are.  Oh, and the slow roasted shoulder of lamb went down a treat!!
