lots of bees!

The bees have been very busy - making more bees so now all frames covered in bees and heavy with stores.  They are still only on 10 frames so it looks as if the big box will not be filled until next year now.  We will start to feed them if the weather is bad - syrup made from 500g white sugar and 315 cm3 boiling water - making sure it is properly dissolved and when cold added into the feeder on the top of the frames under the roof.  The bees climb up into the feeder and collect the syrup very quickly - turn it into stores.  Next we need to look for parasites and treat the bees if we need to.
