cucumber flower

The flowers might be small but the cucumbers aren't!    Very pleased with how the recycled laundry tub planter turned out.  We've had such a great crop of cukes.   I also planted another cuke starter in a half barrel, and that's produced a lot as well.   I think one plant would be enough, but it's nice to be able to share with neighbours and friends who don't have gardens.
It's too hot, at least 30 degrees.   I used to love heat like this but I can't tolerate it any more.  The one positive is that the tomatoes are finally starting to ripen.  I'm heading outside to sit in the shade with a cold glass of white and a book for an hour or so before supper!
