Just hanging around

I have finally cleared the fence of the ivy ready for it to be replaced, whenever we can get that arranged.  I feel very sad because, although it has to be well managed, it was home to many of our little birds and protection when the sparrowhawk dropped by looking for a meal.

Once the fence has been replaced I'll add some less invasive climbers and hope the birds will forgive me.  This nuthatch has no use for ivy though, just trees.

Now please forgive me but I must get back to the Olympics.
