Collection 1: Stamps of Germany

My late father in law collected stamps when he was a young man. His stamp album from 1939 was going to be thrown out by my mother in law ( who had no use for old stuff!), but fortunately was saved by Mr CFJ.

I see this as an historical document- there are many stamps in this album that come from countries that no longer exist.

It is also quite incredible that he had stamps from such far flung countries as Togo and Persia....( he lived all his life in a small Devon village).

I have decided to do an occasional series of photographs with the theme of Collection.
