Going . . .
. ...for gold out with a bang.
Team GBB were invited to take part in the shooting competition today. They were looking forward to showing off their skills with guns etc. They were a bit nonplussed when they arrived at the arena and were greeted by cheerleaders and the sight of a cannon. The penny had not dropped that they were going to be fired from the cannon. Panic set in but it was too late the cannon was loaded and poor Byron was loaded into the barrel and the touchpaper ignited.
Team GBB are quite relieved that tomorrow the AOG will be over and they look forward to attending the closing ceremony and to collect their medals.
On a personal note it was a wet start to the day. My first chore was to defrost the freezer - such a lovely job - feels good when it is done though.
We then spent a lot of time going to and from the bathroom measuring available space as we want to put in a walk i shower - have a smaller bath and replace the basin and toilet.
Watched the triathlon but not quite as exciting as the mens
