Southern Pearly-eye Butterfly

Sylvia stands motionless, about to begin her routine in the freestyle rhythmic gymnastics competition - which in her case consists largely of opening and closing her wings in a desultory fashion. It may prove to be too avant garde for the judges. Time will tell! A possible plus is that she has chosen a very clever surface upon which to perform - looks like ice, but actually is a pearly plastic - which she felt was entirely apropos given her family name is "Pearly-eye." She has been practicing for weeks and is very confident of her chances. Go Sylvia!
