This Life Journey

Venturing deeper.

Continuing the journey from BSB, our team decided to hit the roads and further explore the heartlands of Brunei for our R&R-a well deserved break from camp!

Being typical urban-grown boys, we had a bucket list we wanted to do-to hit nearby malls that is!

1st stop-Kiulap. Splitted into 2 smaller parts, the old Kiulap houses shops such as outdoor adventure equipment, Hua Ho department store (huge supermart), small eateries- that serve chinese, western and malay cuisines-and other smaller businesses. The new Kiulap, paradoxically, turns out to be quite a disappointment apparently (not much entertainment).

2nd stop-The Mall. An amazingly huge building that houses 4 floors of shops, eateries and a movie theatre! The Mall, literally called as it is, is somewhat the equivalent of SG's Orchard Road-but less grandiose? Nonetheless, one wouldnt grow bored of the place-there're just too many shops to browse, both inside and within the vicinity!

3rd stop-Airport Mall and Times Square. Both pretty much houses similar shops-electronics, clothes, supermarts, eateries and a movie theatre again (Hmm).

All in all, I must say that food is of an abundance at these 3 places. You could get cinnamon rolls, flavored pretzels, desserts, bubble teas, fast foods and the list just goes on-it's non-exhaustive!

But as though time wasnt on our side, we had to catch the last water taxi back to camp; however rushing the schedule was, I'm glad we all had fun- a breather from those trainings.

Now back to camp.
