Jailbird

It is the last day of AOG2016 and before the closing ceremony, a nasty tale unfolded.

Near catastrophe was averted when this Robin was accused of avricide, in that he killed a sparrow.

It all begun when a group of children began chanting "Who killed Cock Robin?"

Other children not English speakers, translated this as best they could but as in their language, the verb comes at the end of the sentence, it came out as poor Robin being the perpetrator and not the intended victim.

This was heard by a security guard who immediately sprang to the wrong conclusion and arrested an innocent party.

A passing linguist soon rectified the situation and the Robin was released, and was soon free as a bird. (see Extra)

This brings to a conclusion, a fortnight of merry games, filled with controversy and strife.
