Visit to Sissinghurst

I am so, so out of sync with my journal due to having been away for two weeks without wifi. This was taken 4 days ago, on the last very hot day.  I have to say that I found it almost unbearable walking around these gardens in the heat.  I have come to realise that I no longer enjoy walking in high temperatures.  Maybe it is an age thing.  

I have been urged by all my gardener friends to visit these gardens for a while - along the lines of "I cannot believe that you have never been there".  They were lovely but, I didn't think they were as impressive as Wisley.  Maybe it was the time of the year, the crowds and the heat that distorted my judgement.
