Pea Soup

This area of the Heron Pond does look like a vat of pea soup - it is covered in duck weed.  Whilst waiting for a friend I watched this heron. It was astonishing how he managed to catch these tiny fish with such poor visibility.
I tried my hand at photographing dragon flies - we only saw two in the space of two hours, possible because the wind was so strong. See my extra photo.
