Seen Better Days

I knew that I would be able to find a subject for Derelict Sunday today.

We had a lazy start to the day and began by driving further up the dale then turning off towards Stonesdale and Tan Hill. At the top of the road we came to the Tan Hill Inn which is the highest public house in Britain and where we had delicious roasted red pepper soup for lunch. Not far after we left Tan Hill we found this derelict building which was just what I was looking for. The sunshine from this morning became fleeting but gave us some wonderfully stormy clouds. We then carried on towards Kirkby Stephen and back towards Reeth. Just when we were ready for a cup of tea and were approaching Muker I remembered that the tearoom does dairy free 'Old Peculiar' fruit cake. This evening we had dinner at the Punch Bowl In Low Row.
