I ran the Paisley 10k in the morning, but all my pictures were disheveled, red-faced and unattractive, and the less said about my time the better. 

 A quick visit to Bothwell castle in the afternoon was more productive. It's funny place, being begun in the 1290s and in use until 1700, and in that time was built, beseiged, partially collapsed, re-built, re-modeled, partially abandoned and improved so many times that it is a muddle of styles, shapes and functions, and has any number of unexpectedly blocked doors and stairs that go nowhere.
