Under attack
I have never ever seen butterflies around as early as this. Especially the monarchs. I believe this one must have over wintered somewhere close, and the bright sunshine has brought him out.
It's brought the bees out too, and they take great exception to the monarch pinching their nectar.
This is one of those serendipitous shots that you could never line up in a million years. When it happens it happens.
It was bitterly cold this morning, but the sun soon melted the little patches of ice on the deck, and now it's simply glorious. With a bit of luck the garden will start to dry out a bit, and we can get some more planting done.
Thanks so much for all the hearts and stars for Team NHHE a couple of days ago. He has bounced his way onto the first page of Popular, and he reckons it's almost better than the gold medals he won as the AOG.
