Day 234 of 366 - Charlecote Park!
Today's image was taken this afternoon in the village of Charlecote In Warwickshire, between Wellesbourne and Stratford on Avon. The view is of Charlecote Park country house. This Grade I listed home was built during the 16th Century. It was built by Sir Thomas Lucy on land that overlooked the River Avon. The Lucy family have held the land that this country house was built on since the mid 13th century. Generations of the Lucy family have made there mark on the house, the surrounding grounds and parkland. The house and grounds are managed by the National Trust. Although it is still the family home of the Lucy family with a good portion of the house being private. The house and grounds are really quite large, I am hoping to go back there in a couple of weeks to see inside.
The photo was taken using the Panorama feature of the iPhone Camera app on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped and straightened the image. I then applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I also boosted the Ambiance and Sharpness a little, as well as increasing the Brightness and Saturation of the house. Next I used the app Brushstroke to apply the Simple S1 painterly preset. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Vibrant FX. I then added the Canvas texture and the Charcoal frame.
