The CLOUD??!!
Do any of you lovely Blippers know what a CLOUD is?......................... It's one of those white fluffy things that hangs around in the sky. Right? …..............Wrong!
…...........'The CLOUD' is something, that apparently stores information from all your 'apple' devices?? Just why is life so complicated!
Today Ann came home from work at 2pm and said, 'Molly, we are going for a little walk up the road because I have just bought a brand new iphone 6SE on 'Gumtree' and we need to go and collect it.'
Being a very sensible little collie, I was a bit wary about this. I know that buying stuff on the Internet is not always a good idea and I was a little bit worried that the iphone 6SE sellar was a murderer in disguise?!!! Therefore I was very glad that Ann was taking me with her. But St Ives is, very small so I'm sure if she had been murdered a quick check of her emails would have led the police to her murderer???!!!
Fortunately Ann did not get murdered while she was purchasing a brand new iphone 6SE.
Anyway to get back to 'the CLOUD' no not those fluffy things in the sky. Because Ann's present phone is an iphone 4s yes, we know, years out of date, we had to go to the Vodafone shop in Penzance so that we could get a smaller sim card and help. Lots of help!!!
I was a little bit annoyed when we got to Penzance. …..............It was really hot and sunny in St Ives and Ann had said it was too hot to leave me in the car while she sorted things out. She said, 'Molly, you might as well come with me. I'm sure Vodafone won't mind a gorgeous little collie in their shop.' But do you know what happened?............................. When we got to Penzance it was really dull & cloudy so Ann said, 'Molly, you can just have snooze time in the car. I'll be back in half an hour.' So I had snooze time – but only 'cos I didn't have a choice in the matter!
What lovely staff 'Vodafone' have. The very lovely 12 year old young sales assistant took the sim out of the iphone 4s, cut it down so that it fitted into the iphone 6SE and then said that all the apps could just be transferred from 'the CLOUD'?????
Ann said, ' What?! All the stuff that I've got on my iphone 4s is on a CLOUD somewhere and can just be transferred onto my new phone?'
'Very lovely sales assistant' said, 'Yes, I'll do it for you. What's your apple password?'
Ann said, 'Haven't a clue. I didn't even know I had anything on a CLOUD.'
'Very lovely sales assistant' said, 'Not a problem, we'll just create you a new password.' Very discreet 'very lovely sales assistant' turned away while Ann created her new password. Let's just hope Ann remembers it???
…......................................This is getting a bit boring now isn't it???
Suffice to say; Ann is now the proud owner of an iphone 6SE. Just how techy is she? And the camera on the iphone 6SE is supposed to be fabulous. Haven't tried it out yet, but I'm sure my BLIPS are going to be fabulous??!!
And after I'd had my snooze in the car I got to have a play on the doggie friendly beach at Long Rock. Walked all the way to Penzance and then all the way back again and I got to splish & splash & splosh so I ended up a happy little collie after all.
…...............As for the clouds – they look a bit grey & dreary here, don't they??!!
PS - Ann's brand new iPhone 6SE cost her £225 - it was advertised at £285. Haggling - she did a lot of haggling?? Please tell us that's a good price???
PPS - Ann's going to email the Vodafone shop and tell them what a helpful little 12 year old young shop assistant they have. So often people only complain about things and the Vodafone shop assistant today needs a medal for putting up with all of Ann's stupid questions.
