Catwalk
She turns up at mealtimes. She stalks the field next door. She sleeps on our garden chairs when we are not looking, one eye always open for the slither of nearby lizards. She loves the crust of Cantal and Brie and waits patiently under the terrace table for these delights to descend her way. She walks very daintily across our gravelled driveway and loves to stare straight into the camera lens. She chooses when to be with us and when to ignore us. She adopted the neighbours up the hill long ago and now she has part-adopted us. Ergo, she stars in so many Blips. The side terrace is progressing well and we fetched two trailer loads of pavers today. It will take three more trips to Jardi Leclerc before we have amassed enough to begin the phase of the "great laying". We ate outdoors this evening, barbecued veggies and turkey fillets washed down with Chateau Lacroux Blanc Sec Vigne de Maurival. Bliss.
