Fennel

After a busy weekend, it was time to return to domestic matters.  the drizzle and some showers kept me away from the garden.  Instead, I excavated a small trench around part of the studio.  This is on preparation for some work on drainage.  At the moment, all I know is that a trench is required.  I'll need to work out the rest.

The blip is of the fennel in the herb garden.  It is magnificent at the moment and I liked the suggestion of the landscape in this shot.  I have decided the herb garden needs a makeover.  It will benefit from the introduction of some order.  But there will always be a space for fennel.
