New Friends! Emmy And The Boys!

This morning we woke up for the last time in Sweden!  After a very foggy early morning walkie and a delicious breakfast with Mum's friend, we were on our way again!  We headed west to Denmark but took a little extra time to go the scenic route along a coast road. We were in the county of Skåne, which is often known as the Swedish Riviera. We stopped very briefly at one beach and had coffee and a cinnamon roll while sitting on a sand dune. The sun had come out and burned off the fog and it was a perfect setting!  But we didn't linger as we had a very important meeting in Denmark this afternoon!  

After driving over the famous Malmö bridge, we drove a little further to Sorø and met Emmy and her three boys, Gollum, Biscuit and Hero. It was a mini-blipmeet!  We've been following Emmy on blipfoto for awhile and we wrote about Emmy and Hero back on March 12th when we watched them compete at Crufts. We were very glad to meet them all today!  

We went for a walkie along the shore of Lake Sorø. Then we had lunch together in the city square and went for another walk, back by the lake again, through the old part of the city and around Sorø Abbey and Sorø Academy. Several times we tried to do a photoshoot and we got a few good ones, but Gollum was flirting with me most of the time. He's rather handsome so I didn't mind one bit!  I even let him kiss me for this picture!  Oh to be young again!  Gollum is only a little over a year old!  

Emmy showed us some of the routines and tricks she does with the boys!  We loved all of it!  I wonder if it's too late for an old poodle like me to learn new tricks?

It was a terrific visit and it was over way too soon!  We had to move on, as Mum said we had to drive a little further west before bed tonight. So we said our goodbyes and hope we meet again someday soon!  Maybe in England next time!  Thank you, Emmy and the boys!  Another generous dose of Scandinavian hospitality!
