LL Bean Boot games

We drove T's sister C to the bus in Bangor today. She came up with us last Sunday and returned home today via Greyhound. It rained all the way down Rt 9 but stopped as we got closer to Bangor. C got the bus front seat and cozied down with a book and is back home now. We went home to Machiasport via Ellsworth for lunch and stopped at the LL Bean outlet. Ellsworth was 'mobbed' as they say around here, gazillions of tourists headed to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It's the 100th Anniversary for the Park and the narrow roads are packed with people drinking in the wild forest beauty and crashing surf. I think we might pass on our usual trip to the Schoodic Peninsula this year due to the crowds.

I didn't buy these Bean Boots today, I've had them for years, a Thinsulate lined model perfect for all things Maine on wet, dewy mornings.

For the Record,
This day started out with showers, then heavy rain. It's bright and cool but still ever so humid now at dinner time. I could do without the humidity. It's not sweater weather, but it's almost cool enough.
