Fire falling

Washing dishes, with younger between me and the window, i only noticed the sky when i moved across to put something on the counter behind him.

There will be many thousands of images from tonight's spectacular sky - Calton Hill strollers must have been almost deafened by the noise of all the shutters clicking. I was struck by the small fiery drifts, like embers above a forest fire.

But the humblest westward window can frame the most wonderful sights.
