Monday: Trump

I thought I had taken more than just this one photo today but obviously not.  I took this on the way back from the quickest working lunch ever (35 mins).  It's really refreshing after Croatia where you were lucky to get away with less than 2 hours.  Anyway, the building in the middle is the soon to be opened Trump Tower.  Please note that it is twisted......it wasn't until I uploaded that I noticed the aeroplane.

And big news!  We have........bank accounts.  And British Columbia driving licenses.  With a bit of luck, we should be able to pick up the new car this week (and stop paying ridiculous ATM charges.......).

Max was such an embarrassment this evening.  We were just sitting down to dinner when we had kerfuffles and caterwauling coming from next door.  Our neighbour, whom we have only spoken to through a bush until now, told us (through the bush) that Max was in her garden and was involved in a stand off with her dog.  We had to go round and rescue him (he was pretty distressed).  She was lovely about it - she's from Mexico and we did have a nice chat, a writhing Max in my arms notwithstanding.  It's not the way I would have chosen to have our first meaningful interaction with her though.
