Gorey Castle
After breakfast S said we were going to walk the dog at Grouville because then I could see Gorey Castle which I had bought a postcard of the day before. It's a great beach for walking the dog with the girls because there are lots of shells and crabs etc. to look at. We took a ball for Ruby to play with but then she couldn't find it and after she swam around desperately searching while we got very wet looking we decided to abandon it. Ruby wasn't quite so happy to give up! A very nice gentleman then came along and gave us one of his balls.
It was very hazy so the photo isn't great.
When we got home I quickly packed my bags while the girls prepared themselves for the dissection of the clams they had collected in the morning. Art aprons, swimming goggles, knife, spoon and fork at the ready they started dissecting. It was hilarious but very sad for the clams. My taxi arrived and after big hugs I sadly left them to it for another year.
My flight back was very short and once I arrived at Bristol I walked straight off the plane into the terminal, through the building and out the other side. I' didn't stop and I'm not sure I even had to go round any corners!
I had a few hours to waste in Bristol so went for a quick walk round the shops. Got on the train and astonishingly got a seat on both trains! There was a grandma with her grandsons next to me and they were going to spend the next 5 weeks with their grandma. Very sweet.
At Exeter I decided even though there were just 5 minutes before my train that I needed a coffee so ran over the footbridge to the cafe. Got a coffee and ran back. Then I realised I had left my book at the cafe had to run back again. After quite a bit of spilt coffee and a lot of running I got my train and again got a seat.
Dad picked me up from the station and when I got home mum, dad and I settled down to watch the opening ceremony. WOW! That is all I can say.
