St George's Church

Is where my hubby was a Choirboy 70 years ago. I am not convinced it was because he could sing ;-) more likely because he lived down the lane shown on other Blip.The wall to the right is the building where he lived from the age of 4 until he married. The Beacon further down stands behind Beacon House named for obvious reasons.It overlooks the sea.Further down again is where John W.Welch lived and died. He owned 2 sweet factories locally. He "invented" Black Bullets. That's the sweets not ammunition.He also was the Grandfather of the actress Denise Welch.
