Runner beans in the sun

Another super day - too hot to be outside.  So it's a good job that yesterday I managed to tidy our patio area.  

We had home grown runner beans at the weekend, but many of them were a bit tough - we're not very good at catching them before they become fibrous.  There are lots of little baby ones now developing - I'm hoping they will be big enough to pick, to take with us when we leave on Thursday to visit my sister and her partner in Edinburgh over Bank Holiday weekend.

We also have lots of tomatoes in the polytunnel, just ripening.
