Athens

Arrived in Athens late last night. Today we took the metro from our hostel to the travel agent's, where we were hoping to buy a ferry ticket. We didn't reckon with the religious resting on sunday, and were left banging at a closed door. We later went to the Acropolis museum, were impressed by the artifacts (especially the frieze of Heracles fighting the Hydra), and I learnt how much of a beating the Parthenon has taken over the years, as well as how much of an idiot Lord Elgin was. We took a nice small path to the museum, which had this view. We accidentally misled some Brazilians.
