Brute of a fly

Not the largest of the Tachinidae flies, but this Tachina fera always looks to me as though it's just come from body-building at the gym. It looks in splendid shape, with an attitude to match. I'm particularly taken with all its bristles. This one was enjoying mint that I've allowed to flower in my garden.
