Paradox with Mid Italy

Took this image with lovely noon light in Delft where I was for a short visit to my daughter who will travel down to Crete to meet with her papa on his anniversary. Now the quietness and neetness in this image strikes me as a happy contrast to the destruction that happened today in Mid Italy due to an earthquake. Colleagues and I wondered how our former colleague and his wife are as they have a B&B  & camping in Perugia... received just an email from them telling me they're fine and no  damage done to their home ~ just alarmed lodgers and themselves too ofcourse.... isn't internet wonderful for such quick contacts?!
