More heather!

Today we headed to north Northumberland with our bikes & set out on a 30 mile circular route from Belford to Chatton, past Chillinghan Castle, across Hepburn Moor to North Charlton, through Ellingham, Lucker & back to Belford. It was very hot but we had the benefit of the breeze on our bikes. The views across the fertile farmland were beautiful & this blip was taken on the moors.
Tonight I received a message that a work colleague is gravely ill & I feel so fortunate to have enjoyed such a wonderful day. He is only young. Thinking of him tonight & his young family.
