Fun with Ford

A fascinating morning, and a fun afternoon. Both were spent at Dunton, Ford's technical centre near Basildon in Essex, where we were on a visit specially organised for the Southern Group of Motoring Writers. We had an engineering presentation about emissions testing, a guided walk around an emissions laboratory, and a driving session with various cars available for us to try both on the Dunton test track and out on the road. These are some of the cars we drove, and the extra is a rather fetching etching on the window of the site's main entrance reception.
