Tenby North beach and harbour.
I had promised Harry a visit to the Pembrokeshire theme park of Oakwood, and we spent the morning there, enjoying the fun to be had, but choosing to leave once the park got so busy that the length of the queues reached more than 30 minutes.
As a contrast and needing some open space and sea views, we finished our day in Tenby, buying both a cricket kit and surf board from the numerous tourist shops and then decamping to Tenby North beach, which at low tide and late afternoon was almost deserted and provided a perfect location for Harry's introduction to beach cricket. [See extra].
We are going to test out the surf board on Friday, when the forecast is for full on sunshine, and we plan to return to the surf of Broad Haven South. Sadly, Tenby beaches - though beautiful - are too sheltered for good surf!
