Bob's Java Jive, Tacoma

Our last day in Tacoma, and we went back downtown to the Glass Museum, well worth the trip. There is a full working glass foundry with busy glassblowers plying their craft for an audience, and examples of unbelievably complicated pieces. I can't imagine being a glass artist; it's hard enough to do a pencil drawing, much less envision a 3-D piece and take it through to its final resolution. It was fascinating to watch all the steps and the choreography necessary to make it work. While we were in the gift shop, Extradays found an old picture of Dale Chihuly in front of Bob's Java Jive. Just to complete the circle of relevance...
