Rabbie Burns

Took annual leave day today so that I could meet up with the 'swimming girls.' We haven't swam together for a long time but we met at swimming lessons and have kept the friendship going for almost 25 years, I'd say.
Only 2 of us aren't retired so it was great for me today. I felt I was playing hookie from school although it was signed off!
Our walk took us along the banks of the River Doon which was in full spate and close to overflowing in some places. Then we had lunch nearby to the Burns Museum and as we went into the coffee shop I spied this verse on the wall. I felt it was appropriate for the occasion.
