2016 Tuesday -- The Road Home

The road home -- actually, we're not sure which place to call home anymore. That's a question to be answered another day.

This photo was taken at approximately one hour into our trip to SoCal. We were in two cars, which made the journey seem long today. Mr. Fun and the three pups were in the white CR-V in front of me. It's approximately a four hour journey. We stopped for breakfast this morning in Buellton.

We've spent 73 nights at our coast house in Cayucos. It feels like home, but I'm not yet retired. I'll probably teach for another 4 years. This summer has been what I referred to as "practicing for retirement." I think my "practicing" earned an A+. Everything about it felt good. If you think it was hard to return to go back to the campus tomorrow, you would be right!

The next three days will be teacher meetings. Classes begin Monday. I will be teaching Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this semester, which will last for 16 weeks and conclude on December15.
