The Guardian
It was a day for doing some household chores so I pottered around in the morning doing this and that. B took me to Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan Hospital in Ebbw Vale later in the day as I had an appointment to see a specialist regarding my knee. When it was my turn to be seen, after waiting an hour, I was pleasantly surprised to see a tall, quite good looking young man in front of me. He explained to me that although I will require a new knee some time in the future, he didn't think it was time for me to go on the waiting list for the operation just yet, which I was quite pleased about.
On the way home we stopped off at Six Bells, Abertillery for me to take a blip of The Guardian which is an artistically acclaimed memorial to the 45 men who died in an underground explosion in the local mine in June 1960.
